Scholarship University of British Columbia , Vancouver Canada. Banking Career
with Chemical Bank New York, Bank of America Paris, Brussels, Guatemala,
Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. From 1977 till 1979 Representative for
Central America of Banco Promotor, Panama, a subsidiary of Vereins - und West-
Bank, Hamburg. 1980 to present independent Financial Consultant. 1982 to1993
Financial Consultant with USAID (Agency for International Development).
Owner and President of La Laguna del Lagarto Lodge a small
Eco-lodge in the northern zone of Costa Rica.
Member of the Rotary Club of San José, Costa Rica.
(President 1998-1999) the International Eco-Tourism Society and the American
Birding Association,.
VICE PRESIDENT: Manuel Ramirez
Costarican citizen, graduated fromYale University, Master
of Forest Science. From 1989 to present, Director of Conservation International
for Costa Rica and Panama. 1994 Consultant of Bio-diversity for the Andina
Development Corporation, Ecuador. 1992 forestry Consultant for the United
Nations in Nicaragua and Cost Rica. Has published numerous works on conservation
issues.
SECRETARY: David Gardella
U.S. Citizen, resident of Costa Rica. BS in Systematic
Biology with minor in Ecology, MS in Tropical Agriculture. Peace Corps volunteer
in Honduras and Costa Rica, working in Tropical Agriculture. Spent the last 20
years as U.S. Foreign Service Official, working for the U.S. Agency for
International Development (USAID) as Agricultural Development and Environmental
Officer in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, El Salvador and Bolivia.
Since April 2000 retired from USAID writing science fiction novels and managing
a 70 hectare rain forest in Sarapiqui, Costa Rica.
TREASURER: Roberto Wells
U:S. Citizen, resident of Costa Rica. Doctor in Law, degree
from the University of Michigan. Scholarship from the American Field Service to
New Zealand, Ford Foundation Grant to attend Seminar in Costa Rica, on Central
American Legal and Economic Integration. Fullbright Scholarship to Costa Rica to
work with Agrarian Law Project. Published several works on Agricultural Fiscal
Laws, Rural Land Taxation of Costa Rica and Conservation Issues. Founding
member and treasurer of CEDARENA (Center of Environmental and Natural Resource
Law ).

Born in Guatemala, resident of Costa Rica since 1974.
German citizen. MBA Technical University Berlin. General Manager
Hotel Laguna del Lagarto.
FISCAL: Carlos Ceciliano
Costa Rican citizen, Bachelor of Social and Economic
Sciences, specialized in Business Administration. Worked with Cooper & Lybrands
in several Latin American countries and USA. Partner of the Costa Rican public
auditing company Ceciliano & Company since 1974, auditing major local
agricultural companies and local banks. |
